Education & Training Resources

Rock County is home to eight K-12 school districts and a Career & Technical Academy, which represents a consortium of regional K-12 districts. For additional statewide K-12 information, please visit the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction online.

Additionally, the County is the host site for the Wisconsin School for the Visually Handicapped.

From a higher education standpoint, Rock County is fortunate to have a wide array of local and regional offerings. Employers, as well as individuals, have the ability to access any one of the institutions listed below. These institutions provide a highly specialized talent pool that possesses demand-driven certifications and/or degrees.  This additional workforce creates an immediate source of permanent, as well as seasonal, employment.

Additional training resources are available from the regional WIRED initiative, which has combined the assets, resources and workforce strategies of the Southwest and the South Cental Wisconsin Workforce Development Boards, respectively. Through an integrated approach, WIRED will deliver targeted and modular-based industry sector training.  For WIRED information and updates, click here.
