2011 Accelerate Your Business Plan Contest Winner Announced at Regional Business Expo

Congratulations to Chad Sullivan and John Fugate, winners of the 2011 Accelerate Your Business Plan Contest grand prize - valued at over $18,000!

Street Cop Spanish Seminars, a division of Spanish In Your Job, provides an effective and efficient communication Spanish language platform. Designed for cops and by cops, Street Cops Spanish Seminars provides useful written and verbal applications for today's law enforcement personnel. Recognizing the value of this approach, Spanish in Your Job is designed to apply these same lessons toward other industry sectors too.

In addition to awarding the winning package to Street Cop Spanish Seminars, Rock County 5.0 and Murphy Desmond announced a pair of runner-up prizes. Expresso Ticketing (a product of IT Advantage Corp) and Sweet Alternatives Gluten-Free Bakery, received matching prize packages valued at $6,500.

Rock County 5.0 Expands WISC Services Program

Since 2009, the Rock County 5.0 initiative has raised significant resources to help reposition and revitalize the local economy. Key strategies employed to reach this goal include supporting Business Retention & Expansion, as well as Small Business & Entrepreneurship efforts.

In an effort to strengthen the level of support ot those businesses that need it the most and have the implementation capacities, Rock County 5.0 has expanded its cost-sharing arrangement with the Wisconsin Innovation Service Center (WISC). Qualifying businesses can receive high -value consulting services, such as licensing Partner Searches, Customer and/or Distributor Assessments, Competitive Intelligence Searches and Diversification Assessments at a significantly reduced rate.
