(Janesville, WI) - ANGI Energy Systems, which provides innovative compression systems and services for the global energy market, announced that it will lease 215,000 SF at 305 W. Delavan Drive. This lease will enable ANGI to relocate and subsequently expand its U.S. headquarters. In addition to expanding its Rock County footprint, ANGI anticipates adding another 25 employees to its existing staff.

As a second-generation family enterprise, ANGI has over 40 years of compression system design, engineering and manufacturing experience. The company's global reach spans across 22 countries, including maintaining an operation in Shanghai, China. To date, ANGI is the only company in the U.S. principally dedicated to providing complete and fully integrated compressed natural gas (CNG) stations.

"ANGI is committed to improving our market position and increasing our capacity to deliver our products to growing domestic and international markets. To accomplish these goals, the company required a larger and more efficient real estate solution. Our investment in this property, coupled with our exceptional staff, will afford ANGI a great advantage in servicing these commitments”, Andy Grimmer – President of ANGI Energy Systems.

The catalyst for this project was the relationship between Badger Property Investments (BPI), LLC and ANGI. BPI purchased the former ThyssenKrupp property and then structured a lease with ANGI to meet their short-and-long term needs.  Property and lease negotiations were handled by Bill Mears (McGuire Mears & Associates), Chris Stecker (Siegel-Gallagher) and Bill Quinlivan (Siegel-Gallagher).

These negotiations were aided by a pending Janesville Tax Increment Financing (TIF) package and a Development Opportunity Tax Credit award from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.

According to James Otterstein, Rock County Economic Development Manager, "This project represents a visible example of the roles that right-sized, functional real estate and local investors play within an area's economic development strategy. We're extremely grateful for the continued commitments that both ANGI and BPI have made within Rock County."
