(Beloit, WI) – Alliance Development Corporation announced that it will add 110,000 SF to its existing distribution center, which is located in Beloit’s Gateway Business Park. This project involves the installation of a covered pallet conveyor system that will connect directly into the adjacent Kettle Foods plant; thereby, enhancing the transfer of finished goods from the production facility into the food-grade distribution center. Construction on this $4.9 Million project is scheduled to begin Q3 2011 and then conclude Q2 2012.

Mike Pokel, Vice President for Alliance Development Corporation, said, “We are thankful to again have the opportunity to work with the City of Beloit, the Greater Beloit Economic Development Corporation (GBEDC) and Kettle Foods. The growth of the Kettle Foods project, in conjunction with the proactive approach of the local development team, helped bring this project to fruition.” This is the second project in the Gateway Business Park undertaken by the Alliance Development Corporation, which is a family-owned firm specializing in the design, construction, leasing, logistics and operations of food-grade distribution / production facilities.

This distribution center project was facilitated by a City of Beloit Tax Increment Financing District (TIF) incentive package, as well as a pending Wisconsin Development Opportunity Zone Tax Credit allocation.

According to James Otterstein, Rock County Economic Development Manager, "As a designated shovel-ready Park, Gateway provides distinct speed-to-market advantages. The ability to move quickly is expediting the Kettle Foods and the Alliance Development Corporation projects."
