(Beloit, WI) - Kerry Ingredients & Flavours, a division of Kerry Group Plc, announced that it will invest and expand its Beloit headquarters, as well as other Wisconsin facilities, during the next 12 +/-months. The Beloit project represents new, as well as reconfigured, office space that totals approximately 34,000 SF. In addition to retaining 800 jobs statewide, which are predominately attributed to Kerry's 264,000 SF Customer Center of Excellence, the company intends to add up to another 67 positions and estimates its total investment near $20MM.

From its first plant in 1972 in Listowel (Ireland), Kerry has grown into a leading global supplier of ingredients, flavours and integrated solutions for the worldwide food and beverage industry. The company's customized product applications can be found across a wide range of food and beverage manufacturers and foodservice providers alike. With established production facilities and sales offices throughout the globe, Kerry has a workforce that numbers over 8,000.

The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (formerly known as the Department of Commerce) pledged support by providing a $1.5MM, low-interest loan. A Tax Increment Financing (TIF) package from the City of Beloit, augmenting its existing Development Agreement that facilitated Kerry's Customer Center of Excellence project, is slated for approval next week.

According to James Otterstein, Rock County Economic Development Manager, "This is an important project with statewide supply chain considerations. We are fortunate, as well as extremely grateful, to have the opportunity to work closely and collaboratively with an industry leader like Kerry as they continually expand their Wisconsin operations."
