An expanding feed and supply business will become the sixth business in Orfordville's industrial/business park.

Days Feed & Supply plans to build a 6,000-square-foot store in the park, which is on Highway 11 just west of Highway 213.

The company has grown since it first started five years ago and will expand from its 2,400-square-foot location at 14203 W. Spring Valley Road in the town of Spring Valley, said Don Day Jr., who owns the business with Rachel Lindeman.

The move will allow the business to be in a higher-traffic location with easier access, he said.

The business sells “any kind of animal feed there is,” Day said, including bulk and custom feed.

The store will be located between Stables Bar & Grill and Bombers Car & Truck Wash. The Orfordville Village Board last month approved a developer's agreement for the project and agreed to sell the lot to Day for $1, Village Clerk Sherri Waege said.

In exchange, Day must make $180,000 worth of improvements to the lot, though he said costs would be more than $200,000.

The project still is out for bids, but Day said he hopes to break ground when the weather cooperates. The store is scheduled to open by September, he said.
