Beloit to Host Lt. Governor’s Small Business Academy

(Beloit, WI) On April 30th, from 8 AM – Noon, the Beloit Public Library will host an in-person Small Business Academy session. This event is part of a statewide, four-day educational and networking series for entrepreneurs and existing small businesses. Year 2024 is the 10th anniversary for this in-person / virtual training and networking offering. While there is no cost to attend or participate in the Academy, registration is required.

Participants will have an opportunity to explore small business topics by choosing from various breakout sessions led by experts in a specific area of business. In addition, local resource and/or economic development organizations will provide information about the small business support services they provide.

The Small Business Academy is presented by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), the Wisconsin Small Business Development Center (SBDC), the Wisconsin Procurement Institute (WPI), SCORE, the Ethnic and Diverse Business Coalition, and local participating organizations.
