(Janesville, WI) SC Aviation, Inc. celebrates the groundbreaking of a new 30,000-square-foot hangar facility at Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport (KJVL), representing a $3.5 million investment in the company’s future as it enters its ninth decade in private aviation.

The new facility represents the next chapter in SC Aviation’s growth and will expand the company’s capacity to support aircraft management, charter operations, maintenance services, future fleet expansion, and growing demand for hangar space at Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport. The project comes during SC Aviation’s 80th anniversary year and follows a period of sustained growth that has included fleet additions, service enhancements, and strategic expansion throughout the region.

Designed to accommodate aircraft as large as the Gulfstream G700 and Bombardier Global 8000, the 30,000-square-foot hangar will provide additional capacity for aircraft storage, maintenance activities, and customer services.

The project is also being driven by strong demand for aircraft storage and support services at KJVL. SC Aviation currently maintains a waiting list of aircraft owners seeking hangar space, underscoring the need for additional capacity and the continued growth of business aviation throughout the region, including Chicago, Milwaukee, and Madison.

The groundbreaking ceremony brought together employees, community leaders, and aviation industry stakeholders to commemorate both the company’s legacy and its vision for the future. Construction is expected to be completed in March 2027.
